Do i need to book a table?
The Fourteas operates on a walk – in basis, and it is open to anybody that wishes to have food or drinks without fuss and without the stress of getting to us at a specific time! Our entire Menu is available all the time.
Tables become available all the time and, if not on the spot, they are allocated to clients on a first come first served basis.
We do though offer the possibility to book for our prime product, our Afternoon Teas for which we have become the landmark in the town.
Our Ivor Novello Afternoon Teas, presented in a three-tier stand, consist of fresh sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and jam and a selection of pastries, designed to fill up the hungriest and most demanding fans, of this terribly British tradition.
Please follow the procedure below to book yourselves, accordingly, thus making sure that a table will be waiting for you and your friends upon your arrival to the Tea room.
We also understand that groups of people and others with special circumstances (anniversaries, birthdays, business meals etc) will want to have the security of finding a table waiting for them for bookings other than Afternoon Tea, for items out of our A La Carte Menu. Such bookings are also possible, but we shall need your debit/credit card details to guarantee your bookings accordingly.
The site will accept bookings up to 8 people. Groups of 9 people plus, must be arranged following correspondence sent to bookings@thefourteas.co.uk

Full payment will be processed upon arrival through the designated credit cards, based on the number of people arrived.
BOOKINGS ONLINE are for the number of participants and tables only. Please finalise and confirm your final choice of the Afternoon Tea type with the attending staff, when seated in the Tea Room.
Regrettably, our Emergency Evacuation Procedures and restricted space, do not allow the parking or storage of prams indoors, next to the tables. Alternative space is provided for them, outside on our secluded Patio, however no responsibility can be accepted for valuables left in them.
Any bookings accepted are for a maximum 90-minute duration. Any extensions required must be arranged and agreed with the management, in advance.
Waiting time for expected arrivals, is 15 minutes. Bookings delayed for longer, will be released, unless we are promptly notified.
The Fourteas entrance is four steps up from street-level and there is no ramp! Once inside the lounge, wheelchair users are welcome to remain in their wheelchairs if they cannot transfer to one of our chairs.
Dogs can only be accommodated on our patio outdoors, weather permitting.
Specific tables or spots in the lounge or patio cannot be booked in advance. Tables and areas are allocated upon arrival, and they remain subject to last minute availability.
Any Deposits paid are Non-Refundable but Bill-Deductible.
Allergens and Special Dietary Requirements: Gluten-free, Vegan and Vegetarian options are usually catered for, although not always possible. We follow every procedure possible to prevent cross-contamination but, regrettably, we cannot guarantee that any of our products are entirely free of them.
